Éste año se cumple el 30 aniversario del festival sobre Oz que se realiza en Chittenango cerca de Nueva York (lugar de nacimiento del autor de "el mago de Oz" L Frank Baum). El título que le han dado es te año es The Dreamer of Oz Comes Home (los soñadores de Oz regresan a casa) y será el´fin de semana que va del 30 de Mayo a el 1 de Junio.Contará con la participación de el autor e historiador oziano John Fricke. Robert y Clare Baum abrira´n el festival a las tres de la tarde del sábado 31 de Mayo. También estarán los munchkins Jerry Maren, Margaret Pellegrini, Clarence Swensen, y Karl Slover.
Oz-Stravaganza! 2008 is May 30th - June 1st in Chittenango, NY, the birthplace of L. Frank Baum. This is the 30th anniversary of the festival making it the longest running in the world. The 2008 theme is "The Dreamer of Oz Comes Home".
Author and Oz historian John Fricke will emcee the weekend events. Robert and Clare Baum will be grand marshals of the parade which will be held Saturday May 31st at 3:00pm. To date munchkins Jerry Maren, Margaret Pellegrini, Clarence Swensen, and Karl Slover have committed to attend. They will present a program on receiving their well deserved star on the "Hollywood Walk of Fame"
There will be showings of "Dreamer of Oz" with a program by the Baums on their experiences with the movie. There is going to be a must see Oz music revue, a spaghetti dinner with the munchkins, Oz souvenirs and memorabilia, munchkin autographs, and a wide variety of entertainment. The parade offers bands, Ozzy floats, munchkins, and so much more.

Te devuelvo la visita, informándote de que la edición de tapa dura en un volumen de terramar (1 a 5) está todavía disponible en las cadenas La Casa del Libro y FNAC (ambas tienen tienda online). Supongo que en librerías especializadas (Gilgamesh, etc.) también estarán.
Respecto de tu blog, me gusta que sea tan completo (ya no recordaba, por ejemplo, la maravillosa serie de dibujos sobre OZ) pero me resulta un poco barroco. No sé dónde estará el punto medio... En todo caso, me has recordado un gran libro que leí, como el señor de los anillos, entre el armarito de libros de los recreos lluviosos y las ediciones prestadas por mis amigos...
En la casa del libro dice que está en stock. Con otros muchos que dicen estar disponibles a la hora de comprarlos lo tienen que solicitar a la editorial y finalmente te dicen que no lo encuentran (te lo digo por experiencia)
Es cierto que por momentos el blog puede parecer algo empalagoso, pero te puedo decir que a mí me gusta mucho leer (los cuentos de Oz en sí o la biografía de el autor) así que poco a poco se llenará de letras y bajará el nivel de fotos y vídeos.
